If you are seeking assistance, we can help you. You can come by our location in downtown Guelph and register as a new community member.
If you are a resident of Guelph looking to access Hope House services and programs we can complete an intake to register you as a Hope House Community Member. We will introduce you to our programs and can discuss other services in the community.
Please come at least an hour before we close to allow enough time for the intake process and your first shop in our food market. Bring along a piece of ID for yourself and each member of your household as well as reusable bags to carry your groceries.

The Guelph Community Cold Weather Response Plan for Individuals Experiencing Homelessness is not triggered by a specific temperature. Partners and community members are encouraged to use their judgement about the temperature and weather conditions, as well as the safety and wellbeing of individuals.
If you are experiencing homelessness and would like to access shelter:

Royal City Mission (50 Quebec St.) – 2:00pm-7:00pm (Closed Mon – Tues, Wed-Sun)

Please note: Guelph City Hall will be open on Sundays from 10am-4:00pm when extreme cold warnings are issued by Environment Canada. These warnings are issues when the temperature or wind chill is expected to reach -30°C for at least 2 hours.

All Guelph Public Library will be closed on Nov 11,Dec 25th, Dec 25th, and Jan 1st. The library will be closing early at 1 pm on Dec 24th, at 5 pm on Dec 25th.
No Cost Meal Programs:
Royal City Mission runs Wednesday to Sunday and provides lunch at dinner at 6pm.
Your Downtown Guelph Friends provides lunch in front of 176 Wyndham Street North from 1:45pm-3:15pm on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday.
